Overview

Monday-Friday. 7am-330pm.

The Perioperative Support Technician Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and quality of direct support to the Operating Room staff.This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the day shift team, ensuring high standards of compliance, training, and performance are met. The successful candidate will manage a range of tasks including supervising staff, developing educational programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives within the perioperative environment.

Responsibilities

Compliance Management:

  • Oversee adherence to regulatory standards, including Joint Commission guidelines, ensuring the team operates within all legal and operational frameworks.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that ensure consistent and reliable performance across all operations.

Auditing and Quality Assurance:

  • Regularly conduct audits and quality assessments to monitor compliance, identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective measures to enhance service quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain meticulous records of training, compliance, and audits.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, providing regular reports on these metrics to management.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and standardize products and workflows in collaboration with global system partners.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and quality.

  • Design and optimize work systems and processes to improve patient outcomes and internal customer satisfaction.

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to the Perioperative Support Technician group, fostering a team-oriented environment.

  • Manage staffing requirements, including recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, manage timecards, and ensure all team members meet ongoing credentialing requirements.

Education and Training Development:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs focusing on best practices, safety protocols, and technological advancements.

  • Manage continuing education and benchmarking activities to keep the team updated with the latest in perioperative support practices.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other related duties as required, ensuring flexible and efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree with 3 years of supervisory level experience or the equivalent in education and experience required.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills required.

  • High level of computer proficiency desired.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians

  • Area of Interest:Service;
