Dartmouth Health Per Diem Chair Car Operator - DHART in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

Directly responsible for the safe and efficient transport of all passengers requiring non-emergent medical transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Completes a safety evaluation based on weather and road conditions prior to accepting a transport request.

  • Inspect and clean vehicle daily.

  • Maintains readiness of Wheelchair Van to respond to transport requests.

  • Operates lift gate of vehicle

  • Utilizes road mapping, GPS hardware and software for transports.

  • Maintains communication with the DHART Communications Center for the duration of each transport via 2 way radio or cellular communication.

  • Respond promptly to all calls.

  • Provide outstanding customer service in a professional manner.

  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner per policy.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Ability to lift and maneuver 125 pounds

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required in accordance with D-H’s Driver Disqualifications Guidelines.

  • BLS certification required
