Dartmouth Health Manager Clinical Nutrition Services in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

We are offering a $5,000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only (or current D-H employees moving to a 32-40 hour per week position from a per diem role) and certain conditions apply.

Responsible for the effective management of the Clinical/Nutrition Services Department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees clinical nutrition services and staff involved in the nutritional care of patients.

  • Leads the Clinical Nutrition Committee. In collaboration with Medical Director, develops, implements and monitors selected nutritional care protocols and enteral formulary.

  • Establishes and maintains policies, standards and programs that will produce an effective clinical nutrition program.

  • Maintains and updates the Nutrition Care Manual to reflect current nutritional trends.

  • Contributes to the development and revision of the patient and dining room menus.

  • Provides direction to staff relative to employee discipline, departmental policies and procedures, and general personnel policies.

  • Supervises assigned personnel. Selects, counsels, prepares performance evaluations, and terminates according to policy.

  • Coordinates and conducts departmental educational programs and patient education programs for staff, and the community.

  • Supervises functions and procedures as they relate to other departments, ensuring optimal programs.

  • Evaluates nutritional materials and supplements in consideration for purchase.

  • Manages the departmental quality assessment and improvement program.

  • Responsible for nutritional care programs that are managed by patient care teams.

  • Collaborates with physicians, staff and other department leaders to ensure a consistent flow of patient information to maintain continuity of patient care and/or to increase customer satisfaction.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field or equivalent experience required.

  • Supervisory experience required.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Current NH Dietitian license required.

  • Current Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

  • Area of Interest:Professional/Management;
