Dartmouth Health Food Service Attendant - Host Per Diem Patient Dietary Services in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

The Food Service Attendant - Host assembles, serves, and delivers food, and performs sanitation activities in assigned areas: patient area for patient tray assembly and sanitation; patient tray delivery and menu collection; or the detail dining areas. May operate dishwasher or assists with washing/sterilizing dishes. Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties.

This is a per diem position with competitive rates starting at $17/hr. Evening and weekend shifts receive a shift differential, and weekend shifts are required. You must be at least 16 years of age to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

Patient Tray Delivery and Menu Collection responsibilities:

  • Assists with tray delivery and retrieval.

  • Collects patient menus on assigned units.

  • Assists patients with menu completion using hard copy menus or laptops.

  • Performs inventory of food and supplies for assigned units. Assembles these supplies and delivers to the assigned unit.

  • Takes temperatures of assigned refrigerators and freezers and documents as required

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or GED) strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read and write required.

  • Prior satisfactory work experience is desired.
