Dartmouth Health Children’s and Geisel School of Medicine

The Department of Pediatrics at Dartmouth Health Children’s and The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seeks a board certified or eligible Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician. This individual will be based in southern New Hampshire to provide care to children and their families within a growing Child Development program.

Dartmouth Health Children’s provides an extended system of care with primary, specialty, and advanced tertiary pediatric services, including a comprehensive ambulatory specialty center at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester, the largest city in NH, and 10 pediatric primary care medical homes across the region. Dartmouth Health Children’s also operates an inpatient pediatric unit with PICU, level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and level III NICU at its flagship Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD) in Lebanon. Dartmouth Health Children’s is committed to addressing racism and other forms of oppression to assure that all children and adolescents can live their healthiest, happiest lives.

The Child Development Program in the Section of Genetics and Child Development provides care for children with a range of developmental and behavioral disorders including initial evaluations and follow up care. We serve a wide geographic region across New Hampshire and Vermont. As a small program, we have a collaborative relationship with our colleagues in general pediatrics, child and adolescent psychiatry, and pediatric neurology.

Teaching pediatric residents and medical students along with Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment (LEND) trainees is expected, so eligibility for appointment to the faculty at The Geisel School of Medicine is required, at a rank commensurate with experience and academic portfolio. Academic opportunities across Dartmouth's campuses include world-class traditional biomedical research, global health initiatives, and renowned leadership in quality improvement, outcome, and healthcare delivery sciences at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
