SUMMARY: Sets up and operates numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic parts by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Assists with setups on CNC equipment, while maintaining 5S and all quality work standards.

Initiates and monitors SPC

Watching the line for bottlenecks/ machine problems, contacting MS as needed. Assists in troubleshooting production problems.

Assists in the training of new team members, while maintaining continuous improvement of company safety practices.

Assists in meeting/exceeding conversion costs, production schedules and quality goals.

Helping with whatever is necessary to keep the line running, through breaks and lunch periods with safety as a primary concern.

Other duties, as directed.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate simple percentages. Be able to add and subtract decimal values. Basic Math test will be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods while performing functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach overhead with hands and arms; grasp; stoop; kneel; and/or crouch. Must meet job standards for visual ability, speaking, and hearing in a manufacturing environment. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Environmental conditions include flashing lights on machines and Powered Industrial Vehicles, random noises such as horns and alarms.
