JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce drawing from layouts, sketches, 3D models or physical parts for manufacturing and assembly

of aftermarket repair components, and release according to project schedule.

  • Check drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness, and content to conform to company standards.

  • Release completed drawings according to Aurora document release procedures.

  • Maintain and update drawing files.

  • Revise and update existing drawings.

  • Layout and design new products and tooling under direction of the Project and/or Design Engineer.

  • Communicate, support, and achieve daily expectations.

  • Promote safety among all employees and visitors.

  • May be required to perform trailer audits

  • Will be exposed to warehouse on a daily basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a two year technical degree with coursework in technical drafting.

  • 1 to 3 years minimum of 3D CAD software experience, preferably with experience working in a sheet metal environment. Solid Edge experience a plus.

  • A basic understanding of fabrication techniques and machining processes.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Prefer to have knowledge of the heavy duty trailer and truck parts industry with a general understanding

of those parts and their functionality.

  • Ability to multi-task between different projects and work quickly and accurately.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be responsible and have excellent problem solving skills
