Freeport-McMoRan Inc. Process Operator Trainee - Site Services (Climax Mine) in Leadville, Colorado

Climax Molybdenum is the world's leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business in a safe, highly efficient and socially responsible manner. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles is underground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.

Description Semi-skilled employees will support the Operations and/or Maintenance groups and be trained to operate industrial processing equipment safely. Employees will work under minimal supervision in environments where the primary objective is safe production.

  • Area housekeeping to include tasks such as shoveling, using fire hose, and digging
  • Operation of processing equipment
  • Assisting with maintenance activities
  • Operation of mobile equipment
  • Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Three (3) months experience in one of the following areas: *Mining/Manufacturing *Industrial Operations *Commercial Construction *Commercial Landscaping *Commercial Agriculture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with water operations
  • Experience with water treatment
  • Experience with plant operations
  • Experience with Industrial waste

BENEFITS: Monthly Housing Stipend Relocation assistance 401k with company match Medical/Dental/Vision (Start on day 1 of employment) Pay range: $21.00 - $27.50 per hour
