LeRoy Central School District SPECIAL ED TEACHER in Le Roy, New York

The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a full-time 1.0 FTE probationary special education teacher beginning in September 2024. The position will be for secondary Special Education and consist of Consultant Teaching in the core areas, in addition to leading a resource room, among many other opportunities in extracurriculars.

We are seeking an individual to join our successful special education department. The Jr.-Sr. High School has 550+ students in grades 7-12, 70+ staff members, and has a proud tradition of academic excellence and maintains high behavioral standards. We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons. We look forward to hiring an individual that will have a positive impact on our school community.

Job Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities - Generalist (Grades 7-12 and/or 5-9)

  • Manage the academic, social and emotional needs of students with disabilities

  • Support the instruction and evaluation of students with disabilities

  • Develop and support the implementation of the Individualed Education Program (IEP) for students with disabilities

  • Serve as liaison between students, general education teachers, CSE, and families.
