Amacs Group Inc. Machine Operator in LE ROY, New York

Job Summary:            The Machine Operator will perform set up, operation, and minor troubleshooting on their assigned manual machines, to include arm stitchers, automatic stitchers, clicker press, die cutters, punch presses, corrugated quick set, and corrugated slitter/scorer. This position will use provided work order instructions and specifications to produce quality products for customer orders. Essential Functions:1.     Review specifications and work order instructions before each project2.     Complete machine set-up and perform operations per established procedures and guidelines. Adjust machine settings as needed to ensure machine operation is in line with provided specifications.3.     Perform appropriate Lock Out Tag Out processes per Safety Policies when completing set up, trouble shooting, and cleaning of machines4.     Using a tape measure, accurately position material on/in the machine before operation in order to ensure products are completed per provided specification5.     Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled parts meet ISO Quality Standards6.     Ensure that first and last piece inspections are completed by a production employee who has been identified and trained to complete these steps7.     Ensure that you are routinely meeting the specified production rates for the work order you are assigned to; report any production rate variances to your Supervisor8.     Identify any material defects and record/report them accordingly9.     Complete required quality and production forms, including accurately scanning in/out of assigned jobs and reporting material usage by entering this data into the Visual manufacturing database10. Conduct all machine operation duties in a safe manner, always adhering to PPE requirements and Safety Policies and practices11. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with Housekeeping policy12. All other duties as assigned.
