KIHO MILITARY ACQUISITION CONSULTING, INC. Systems Engineer in LAYTON, Utah

Apply principles of engineering to model systems/subsystems using applicable military/nonmilitary standards and specifications Ensure the logical and systematic derivation of component and associated interface requirements into design solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identifies and quantifies associated risks Read and create schematics and requirements artifacts Perform technical analyses for one or more subsystem components to include design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal Perform functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate component requirements into hardware and/or software specification Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical, and integrated system Mentor junior engineers and provides guid ance to senior staff Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training (both required and desired):

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required

Experience:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques
  • Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering methodologies
  • Experience in capturing, tracing, analyzing and managing requirements
  • Background in developing and/or testing aircraft and/or military components preferred
  • Experience with SysML in Cameo, Magic Draw, or similar MBSE tools
  • Familiarization with configuration management/defect tracking tools and peer reviews
  • Strong attention to detail

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
