Traffic Planning & Design Municipal Design Engineer in Lawrenceville, New Jersey

Ranked the overall #4 Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work for in the Nation (#1 in our size category), and residing on the list of the Engineering News Record (ENR)’s Top 500 Design Firms in the nation, TPD (Traffic Planning and Design, Inc.) is currently hiring a Civil Engineer for Municipal design projects.

Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 year of experience with site civil design and applicable software applications. Projects will include a variety of municipal site designs and other responsibilities will include research, coordination, project management, cost estimating, allowances for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specifications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)

  • Engineer in Training Certification (required)

  • Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation/AutoCAD)

  • Experience with detail site layout and grading; drainage and stormwater management design; utility design; and erosion and sediment control design

  • Experience with StormCAD, Hydraflow, PondPak and other industry accepted software and development of studies

  • Experience with codes and regulations, interpreting plans, designing stormwater facilities, site grading and permitting for land

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Valid Driver’s License
