Customer Service Advisors “CSAs’ are responsible for creating a positive guest experience, customer retention, and providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. They provide service recommendations and communicate any special circumstances that impact overall satisfaction. The service advisor must be able to analyze, comprehend and recommend financial objectives that increase sale and service results energized by face-to-face interaction with guests, to include resolving any issues, and help increase sales and build loyalty. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program, for certification.

Service Advisor Qualifications

Previous experience is essential and requires a minimum of 1-year working with a dealership, automotive shop, tire center or quick lube. Simply put, we're looking for people who can provide exceptional customer service. A high school diploma or GED is required, and for those considering college you can earn credits through Jiffy Lube (Ace Credit) courses. Also, all J-Team members must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as be able to speak effectively with our guests and other teammates.

Once you’ve become certified, we offer advancement opportunities to Supervisor/Key Holder and Store Management.

Physical Qualifications

Service Advisors must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed

• Service Advisors are also responsible for performing Jiffy Lubes Signature Oil Change, fluids, filters, wipers and other preventative maintenance services as business requires

• Understand the full range of Jiffy Lube products and services

• Accurately capturing guests’ product needs and providing updates throughout the process

• Offering our guests options that are tailored specifically to their automotive needs.

• Have a valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the US

• Complete all required training courses through Jiffy Lube University

• Ensure that the service center is clean, orderly, and presentable
