Overview :

Seeking team-oriented Maintenance Mechanic within an industrial laundry facility. Individual will perform emergency repairs, as well as routine, scheduled preventive maintenance tasks in reference to our plant’s preventative maintenance program.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining, as well as repairing all plant equipment including high volume industrial washers, dryers, rail and trolley systems, Presses, and ironers, etc. Emergency repairs on equipment when necessary

  • Orders necessary parts, tools, and equipment in a timely manner while following company procurement policy

  • Ability to perform basic plumbing and electrical work

  • Knowledge in troubleshooting inverters, drivers and PLC’s ++, but not required

  • Ability to work autonomously alongside managements support

  • Maintain and record daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance utilizing plants PM program

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude

  • Familiar with standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and proper safety techniques

  • Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment ( not required )

  • Ability to comprehend and perform all required training,

  • Proficiency in written, and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Ability to work on a set schedule, Overtime may be required if needed

  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding/metal fabrication is a big plus

  • Proficiency in utilizing electric meters, or ability to learn

Working Environment/Safety Requirements :

Work is performed in a high-volume production warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions; Requires the ability to routinely move, lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; Requires bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, and lifting; Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations; Requires standing and walking for long periods of time; Must be able to work from elevated heights using ladders, mezzanines, and aerial lifts.

Experience:

  • 1-3 Mechanical experience

  • 1-3 Electromechanical preferred
