Greater Lawrence Community Action Council Appliance Management Program (AMP) Auditor in Lawrence, Massachusetts

Job Summary:

Provide assessments of electric appliances through metering. Install energy saving measures. Order and track appliance deliveries.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and perform National Grid Electric Appliance Assessments with eligible clients.

  •  Educate clients on savings.

  •  Install energy conservation materials, appliance metering, and present action savings plan to client.

  •  Place and track orders for refrigerators.

  • Act as liaison between clients, owners, and the Agency.

  • Other duties as assigned based on program needs

    Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Present a good appearance, and conduct business in a pleasant and professional manner.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide own transportation. 

  • Must be knowledgeable of computer processing systems.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of National Grid Electric audit procedures.

  • Must have good organizational skills both verbal and in writing.

  • Must have a suitable CORI and SORI completed within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

  • Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up GLCAC’s clientele, to support the agency’s mission of building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive organization for employees and clients alike.

    Travel:   Is Required

    Physical Demands: Must be able to tolerate working in cold and hot temperatures ranging from 0° to 120°. Ability to tolerate working in attics and basements being exposed to dust, rodent droppings, insulation, dead and live animals, volatile organic compounds,  dry and damp conditions with possible mold and mildew.
