Teacher/Tutor-Part Time Lawrence, KS If you aspire to inspire, then we want you on our team!   As a part-time Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are: Just Teaching! No Lesson Plans. No Preparation. You will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a 3:1 setting. As a Sylvan Instructor, you will provide personalized instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT prep and State exams to students of all levels. You will teach Sylvan programs, supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction, reward students for completed assignments, evaluate and document student progress, and communicate student needs to the Center Director. You will also inspire students by developing rapport with them and establishing a fun learning environment, maintaining a positive attitude and demonstrating enthusiasm for teaching and for Sylvan.   We require: * Available Monday-Thursday 4:30-7:30pm and 9:30-12:30 on Saturday  * Bachelor’s degree * Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience * State level teaching certification (current or expired)   If you would like more information about this job listing, please contact us at 785.842.6284 or e-mail kirstin.palermo@sylvanks.com
