Required Qualifications:

For Graduate Level Courses: Earned terminal degree in Physical Education, Health Education, Community Health, Sport Management, Exercise Science/Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training or a directly related field.

For Undergraduate Level Courses: Master's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, Community Health, Sport Management, Exercise Science/Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training or a directly related field.

For Physical Activity courses (HSES 108s) and Coaching courses (e.g., Coaching Basketball), applicants must have:

1) A Master's degree, OR

2) A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of directly related experience (e.g., coaching the specific sport, teaching a similar course at an institution of higher education, etc.) OR

3) A Bachelor's degree and a certification in the relevant physical activity discipline (e.g., Yoga instructor certification, Zumba certification)

Position Overview:

The University of Kansas Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences invites applicants to submit applications for part-time positions as course instructors for graduate and undergraduate level courses. Amount of work required can vary by position and will range in FTE.

Candidates will be reviewed and placed in a pool for consideration as openings arise. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and appointments will be made as needed. Please be advised that need for lecturers varies from year to year. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
