We are looking for a Genomics Laboratory Technician to generate genomics data (genome and transcriptome, using sequencing, PCR or microarray technologies), and evaluate and develop new analytical methods, in alignment with the mission of the Genomics Group.

A Day in the Life of a Genomics Laboratory Technician

  • Organize and perform experiments based on genomics technologies such as short and long read sequencing, PCR and microarrays, with reporting (from extraction to data production, with automation or manual pipetting).

  • Develop, evaluate, and/or benchmark new genomics methods and/or technologies.

  • Provide reports and analysis information to support decision making regarding new genomics technologies.

What will make you successful

  • CFC or equivalent in molecular biology/laboratory work.

  • 3 + years of experience in Genomics laboratory environment.

  • Experience in Next Generation Sequencing.

  • Understanding of scientific projects and biology.

  • Experience in molecular biology assays and genomics (sequencing) technologies.

  • Experience with LIMS/ELN would be a plus.

  • Experience with automation/liquid handling devices would be a plus.

  • Networking skills paired with ability to work in team.

  • Open, flexible and creative.

  • Fluent in English.
