Position Summary

Join our dynamic and strategic Applied Nutrition Corporate R&D Team. As an Applied Nutrition Lead , you will play a pivotal role in driving our evolved nutrition strategy, supporting external commitments, and leading impactful R&D initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Applied Nutrition, this senior position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

A Day in the Life of an Applied Nutrition Lead

  • Provide strategic guidance on nutrition-related matters to markets, zones, and categories.

  • Translate the latest scientific nutrition advancements, trends, and threats into actionable R&D strategies and inform decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with Nestlé Research scientists and NPTC nutritionists to develop and deliver innovative and competitive nutrition assets across categories to drive business growth.

  • Drive the implementation of Nestlé “Good-for-You” nutrition strategy at R&D by collaborating closely with the cross-functional teams.

  • Foster relationships with key external stakeholders, in partnership with Nestlé research institutes.

  • Promote nutrition knowledge across the organization and oversee the corporate nutrition education program.

  • Foster and strengthen a collaborative and inclusive nutritionist community.

  • Assist in external audits and ensure the highest quality nutrition data and methodologies.

  • Contribute to peer-reviewed scientific publications, scientific communications, and patents.

What will make you successful

  • PhD in Nutrition Sciences or related field, with extensive expertise in nutrition profiling systems and advanced knowledge of nutrition research methodologies.

  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in a leadership role within the field of nutrition research, demonstrating a track record of strategic impact and successful project execution.

  • Proven experience in concept ideation, translating scientific findings into practical applications, and driving innovation in the nutrition field.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and monitor complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior executives, and external partners.

  • Strong resource and budget management skills, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and delivering results within allocated budgets.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Deep knowledge of Nestlé’s global product portfolio is a plus.
