Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician will perform basic direct and indirect patient care duties in support of the treatment and care of patients. Reporting Relationship: Reports to: Nurse Manager QUALIFICATIONS: -Licensure Required; N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry. -High school graduate or GED required -BLS certification through the American Heart Association -Previous experience as nursing assistant in hospital setting is preferred, not required. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: -Excellent customer service skills -Demonstrates tact, versatility, and dependability -High degree of self-motivation and directional initiative -Positive attitude, demeanor and an effective team member -Ability to work at a rapid pace with numerous interruptions -Performs skills and competencies as defined in orientation checklist and annual departmental competency checklist if applicable -Demonstrates and maintains competencies specific to patient population served
