Scotland Health Care System Lactation Consultant / Clinical and Patient Educator in Laurinburg, North Carolina

The Lactation Consultant / Clinical and Patient Educator serves as a support and provides ongoing breastfeeding information, education and counseling to expectant and new parents. Assesses, evaluates, and implements all initiatives related to successful breastfeeding. Responsible for supporting and encouraging all mothers and their feeding preferences, and is responsible for providing lactation education for expectant and new parents, staff and physicians. The candidate for this positon will see patients where tehy are including the hospital, clinic and potentially home visits.

Qualifications include current NC or Multistate RN licensure; current IBCLC certification; experience in Women's Services; strong knowledge base in women's health, with a specific concentration in childbirth and parenting education, breastfeeding knowledge a plus; excellent organization, customer service, and communication skills.
