Mississippi Employer Refrigeration Technician in Laurel, Mississippi

*Key Responsibilities: *

  • Maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, and perform daily maintenance, as needed, on ammonia refrigeration compressors and other equipment
  • Follow all safety requirements and procedures
  • Maintain daily logs of operations and events for engine rooms and refrigeration equipment
  • Assist other maintenance personnel as needed

     

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours, if required, including weekends
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in tight spaces
  • Must pass a physical, pulmonary test, respirator fit test, and meet the requirements for Haz-Mat team on an annual basis

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Have or obtain RETA 1 certificate within 1 year of hire date
  • Maryland Stationary Engineers license is a plus. If applicant does not have license or if it is not current, applicant will need to obtain a current license within 1 year of hire
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Poultry experience preferred but not required
