Position Summary

The Employment Manager supports the full spectrum of employment operations, including recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies across the health system.  This role focuses on ensuring the health system attracts, hires and retains a skilled and diverse workforce.  The Employment Manager works closely with HR leadership and department heads to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process.  Additionally, the role involves continuously improving hiring practices to support the growth and success of the health system.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, including educational entities, to create a pipeline of qualified candidates, which includes participation in career fairs, internships, clinical rotations, networking opportunities, and other collaborative initiatives. 
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to meet current and future staffing needs, including attracting diverse talent and improving the overall candidate experience.
  • Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and ensure the recruitment process aligns with organizational goals. 
  • Provide leadership and support to HR staff and hiring managers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed for successful recruitment and hiring processes. 
  • Assist the HR director with the day-to-day operations of the HR department, and support the HR team as needed.

     

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or University in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years human resources experience with a focus on recruitment and employment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulations.  Experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external entities and internal stakeholders. 
  • Experience handling workplace issues with sensitivity and professionalism. 
  • Proficiency in HR software and recruitment tools.
