Jasper General Hospital / Jasper County Nursing Home Clinic Manager - Jasper County After Hours in Laurel, Mississippi

Provides overall administrative management and coordination of office operations and personnel in the After Hours Clinic.  Responsibilities include the following:

Conduct ongoing surveys for patients/employees and providers to ensure satisfaction and implement changes when necessary to improve those results.

Oversee computer system administration for the clinic including troubleshooting, staff training on initial use of the system, and ensures ongoing training is conducted as necessary.

Supervise end of the day closing activities.

Coordinate the accounts payable process.

Conduct monthly staff meetings and address identified issues

Develop office schedules and coordinate both nursing and provider schedules to ensure proper staffing

Address billing discrepancies in conjunction with the Business Office.

Supervise the payroll process 

Supervise administrative personnel in performing daily work.

Prepare physician correspondence.

Address customer complaints.

Arrange for the maintenance of the facility and equipment used.

Maintain inventory control over office supplies and equipment.

Inform doctors of business matters involving personnel and financial items of importance on a regular basis.

Archive medical records and ensure medical record filing is complete.

Substitute for billing/insurance clerk and receptionist when necessary.

Education /Experience :

Bachelor's Degree in Business or three to five years experience in a medical business office setting.  

Preferred experience working with medical billing systems, maintaining financial records and supervising personnel.
