Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking a UTILITY DESIGNER for our Water/Wastewater group in Laurel, Maryland.

The UTILITY DESIGNER will work with team members to develop comprehensive utility designs and provide construction services for water/wastewater projects. The Utility Designer will be involved in: design of pump stations and collection/distribution systems; preparation of drawings and specifications, performance of system analysis, preparation of study-level reports for water and wastewater systems; and collaborate with project managers, internal teams, and regulatory agencies throughout the design and construction phases of projects.

UTILITY DESIGNER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering with 3 -5 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • Knowledge in relevant utility engineering software and tools

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or and Civil 3D

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team to meet project schedules and deadlines
