We have an outstanding Contract position for anIT Walk-Up Support Technicianto join a leading Company located in theLaurel, MDsurrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite, in-person IT support services for customers, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and mobile device issues and performing account administration tasks in a fast-paced walk-up help desk.

  • Research, analyze, and diagnose problems with client systems using detailed processes where available and best practices where not.

  • Provide appropriate documentation on services provided and status updates as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. Some duties may include driving vehicles to transport equipment.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree; or in lieu of a degree, at least 4 years of a combination of education and relevant IT-related work experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

  • Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for clients to independently resolve widely varying problems using current job knowledge and research and external resources.

  • Have hardware, software and networking troubleshooting experience -- hardware experience must include laptops and mobile devices; software experience includes Windows, Macintosh and Microsoft Office, networking experience to include understanding TCP/IP and DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange.

  • Must be an excellent communicator, highly motivated and have excellent customer services skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff.

  • Willing and able to support operations and work necessary hours to complete critical tasks and/or troubleshooting and work in a fast-paced walk-up space, in person with customers.

  • Possess a valid driver's license for a state of residence. The selected candidate will undergo a motor vehicle driving record review.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field.

  • Possesses enterprise-level experience with Linux, Windows 10, Mac13.2, and/or iOS.

  • Possess certifications: ITIL, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), HDI Support Analyst.
