General Summary

Provides security/safety for our guests/employees and property assets, is able to assist in all emergency situations. Offers accurate and courteous service, along with the knowledge of casino responsibilities, investigates situations according to the company and departments standards as well as prepare written reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide security/safety for guests/employees and property assets.

  • To enforce all State, Federal and gaming laws. Detain or arrest when appropriate.

  • Assist with all emergency situations.

  • Knowledge of hotel/department policies and procedures in order to provide consistent and accurate dissemination of information to guests/employees and departments.

  • Investigate and prepare written reports.

  • Attend all scheduled meetings.

  • Attend all scheduled training classes.

  • Abide by all County/State and corporate law/policy.

  • Protects the casino and all employees and guests of the casino.

  • Guards all transfers of moneys and tokens on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills and credits.

  • Patrols all areas of the casino and hotel.

  • Assists guests with room keys.

  • Responds to reports of guest or employee injury or illness.

  • Preserves the scene of criminal activity for investigators and outside agencies.

  • Utilizes Guard One scanning device to document patrol.

  • Performs table game fills, transports markers to main cage and verifies slot jackpots.

  • Assists disabled guests with wheelchair escorts.

  • Directs evacuations during emergencies and assists guests as needed.

  • Assist on transporting employees injured on the job, mail room and any other driving assignments.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests

Requirements:

Job Specifications – Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate and understand the English language in order to complete appropriate documentation, i.e., security reports and communicate with guests/employees.

  • Ability to display diligence in the patrol of an assigned area.

  • Ability to investigate complaints.

  • Ability to handle all security casino responsibility.

  • Ability to perform as a dispatcher.

  • Ability to operate a word processor key board (25 wpm), a portable radio, phone, key control and remote fire printer, along with fire command center equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.

  • Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions – Physical Requirements

  • Typically walking, running, stooping of assigned patrol area. Standing and or walking up to a 100% of their shift.

  • Occasionally sitting at desk.

  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 100 lbs.

  • Ability to work in smoky, noisy environment with bright lights.

  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.

  • Regularly works in extreme conditions of cold, hot, damp, wet and/or dry environments.

  • Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical).
