Description:

$500 Signing Bonus

Summary:Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests, employees, the company and their property. Provides outstanding guest service to guests with questions and/or concerns. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide protection for the casino and its employees and guests

  • Guard all transfers of moneys and tokens, chips and credits on the casino floor

  • Perform the duties of a security officer

  • Complete all incident reports pertaining to outside patrol issues

  • Control the flow of traffic at the entrance of the garage and inside the garage

  • Escort armored car personnel around the property

  • Function as fire control center officer and time officer to relieve other officers for their breaks

  • Escort trespassing individuals off property

  • Assist guests in locating lost vehicles

  • Maintain bicycle in operating condition

  • Investigate auto accidents

  • Secure the operations office during in-custody situations

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Answers guest questions, provides directions to guests (escorts guests to desired location, if possible), and assists guests with any challenges that the guest brings to attention

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • At least one year of law enforcement, military or EMT experience highly preferred

  • Excellent guest service skills

  • Proven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and/or interacting with challenging patrons

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English and via portable radios

  • Able to demonstrate proficiency with authorized handgun and qualify on the range every six months

  • At least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Must be able to qualify under Golden Entertainment requirements with his/her weapon under PILB guidelines

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to ride a bicycle for an extended period of time (an eight-hour shift)

  • Must maintain 300 lb or less weight limit, including uniform (based on published maximum weight limit of company-provided bicycle, as determined by bicycle manufacturer)

  • Ability to work in smoky, noisy environment with bright lights

  • Ability to work for continuous time periods in extreme heat and cold

  • Regularly walk, stand, stoop or sit at a desk or table

  • Ability to jog or run as situations dictate

  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 75 lbs.

  • Speech, literacy, hearing and vision (critical)

  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding and ramps

  • Ability to drive motor vehicles

  • Ability to distinguish shades of color
