Pool Cook $1000 Signing Bonus Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)

Description:

Summary:

Responsible for preparing high volume food for pool bar including hot hors d’oeuvres, appetizers, side dishes, hot entrees and other hot dishes according to the menu

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of all outlet recipes to ensure food preparation is correct and of high quality

  • Check and control the proper storage of all products, checking on portion control to maintain quality products

  • Monitor and keep all refrigeration, storage and equipment in clean, working condition

  • Perform various job duties that will include operation of grill, fryer, broiler, mixer and oven in accordance with kitchen needs

  • Visually inspect, select and use the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats and food products of the highest standard in preparation of all menu items

  • Read and employ math skills to follow standard recipes and menu specifications

  • Maintain workstation neat, orderly and perform general cleaning tasks for a safe and efficient shift

  • Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products/inventory

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months previous cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen and/or line cooking

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation guidelines

  • Previous experience working in a team or group environment

  • Ability to work and interact with service staff in a high-pressure environment and be able to do so in a courteous and professional manner

  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service

  • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system

  • At least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels

  • Regularly squat, kneel, reach, bent, grasp and twist

  • Regularly stand, stoop or walk

  • Occasionally move or push goods of up to 100lbs utilizing a food warmer, rolling rach, four decker, hand truck, pallet jack or other machinery

  • Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

  • Occasionally move throughout the property

  • Ability to ascend and descent stairs
