Description:

Summary:

Make change, cash checks, and sort coins for guests. Operate computer systems to process and verify guest credit and check-cashing activity as well as exchanging chips, tokens, and promotional items for cash.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins and promotional items purchased or won in the casino

  • Issue necessary operating funds to other departments

  • Balance assigned funds and maintain an organized workstation

  • Operate computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephone, and key control system

  • Maintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reports

  • Report any monetary or procedural discrepancy to the cage supervisor or manager in a timely manner

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Initiate the greeting, welcome guests in a friendly manner, and thank them for their patronage

  • Offer information regarding property promotions, products, services, and events taking place

  • Smile, make eye contact, and use the guest’s name while interacting

  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience

  • Prior experience working in a team or group environment

  • 6 months of previous experience working in high volume, fast-paced cashiering environment preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

  • Able to efficiently write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Moderate computer skills

  • Ability to accurately process data using a computer and 10-key

  • At least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States
