Description:

General Summary

Handles setup of tables, chairs, and equipment for catered functions and maintains a clean convention area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handles the physical setup of tables and chairs for Banquet and related events.

  • Handles the decorating of Banquet rooms and surrounding areas for Banquet-related events

  • Handles the installation and control of audio visual equipment for Banquet-related events.

  • Responsible for maintaining the inventory of Banquet-related equipment.

  • Responsible for maintaining the Banquet areas and ensure they are clean and in a presentable condition prior to and after the completion of Banquets and related events.

  • Perform adjustments, lamp changes and other minor tasks needed to keep the Banquet and Banquet-related areas operating.

  • Maintain and organize Banquet storage rooms and areas, returning all tables and chairs to appropriate area and ensures items are neat and orderly at all times.

  • Assure Key Control is followed, sign out keys at the beginning of the shift and sign in keys at the completion of the shift.

  • Assure Banquet rooms are secured when necessary.

  • Follow all hotel/casino policies and procedures.

  • Follow all health and safety regulations.

  • Perform additional tasks as requested by Aquarius Casino Resort management.

  • Must be able to follow management directives in a timely manner.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests

Requirements:

Job Specifications – Qualifications

  • Six months related experience preferred.

  • Must be able to understand Banquet event orders (BEO).

  • Must exhibit assertiveness and be able to anticipate future event needs and requirements.

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Must be flexible with scheduling in matters in instances where “pop up” events occur and understand the nature of the business needs.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.

  • Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions – Physical Requirements

  • Required to see, talk and hear.

  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Walk, sit, bend and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and frequently lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Occasionally lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 lbs.

  • Required to walk/stand 90% of the shift.
