Arvato Bertelsmann Technical Services Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Technical Services Supervisor manages the day to day operations of the technical services department. In this role, you will be responsible for oversight of the technical services team, reviewing and maintaining BOMS for rack builds and chassis configuration, rack and stack completion, software/hardware integration, special projects, and continuous process development and improvement. You will work very closely with client services teams and project managers. This position will serve as the site subject matter expert for high-end networking equipment. This position is customer facing and responsible for assisting in all technical inquiries from customer. You will also collaborate regularly with the customer to assist in determining specifications for builds. Your Tasks

  • Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the technical services mission in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire as technical operators.

  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of technical service associates; ensures their ability to handle/install equipment safely

  • Counsels, records and disciplines as necessary. Develops crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.

  • Works closely with Customer engineers developing BOMs and future solutions for hardware

  • Monitors server assembly adhering to set global standards

  • Oversees the supplying of materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly and sub-assembly

  • Develops testing scope for various hardware with defined results and expectations

  • Works closely with Client Services and Project Managers to ensure rack builds are completed timely and ready for transport and deployment as required by the customer

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal

Your Profile

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in business management or Engineering, industrial management or related field

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Computer hardware building or other related experience.

  • Cable management experience - fiber, power, CAT6.

  • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time within a warehouse and office environment.

  • Ability to Commute or Relocate/Location Address: North Las Vegas, Nevada

  • Schedule: Day Shift; overtime as required
