American Homes 4 Rent Supervisor, HOA in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Homeowners Association (“HOA”) Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the HOA Department. Identifies areas for improvement and implements processes to increase efficiency and communication with other Company departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, trains and coaches the HOA team and ensures the team provides accurate and timely assistance to tenants and internal stakeholders. Monitors and manages department KPIs. Leads periodic HOA team meetings; participates in special meetings to identify and manage properties subject to escalated HOA requirements and restrictions. Oversees annual audits of assessment accounts. Prospects, interviews, and hires new and replacement employees which include assisting with new hire onboarding.

  • Ensures proper coding of HOA invoices and intake allocations. Approves HOA violation and other invoices for payment by Accounts Payable department.

  • Creates methods to track and review portfolio management. Analyzes data obtained from system views and reports to measure department statistics and productivity. Finds ways to increase and improve data integrity. Assigns specific tasks and follows up with HOA Coordinators to ensure completion. Completes special projects.

  • Establishes internal procedures and best practices. Implements viable process improvements. Advises management of potential negative outcomes and suggests courses of action.

  • Conducts and/or provides guidance on periodic conference calls with key contacts in each market to communicate HOA issues (new and aging), support field concerns, and intake communication issues with subject HOAs. Alerts other departments regarding leasing and other updated processes to avoid potential eviction, fines, pre-liens, liens, etc.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience, managing direct reports required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience required

  • Experience with CRM, Yardi Voyager, and SharePoint databases preferred

  • Prior HOA management experience preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills

  • Strong leadership, employee development, appraisal, relationship management and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to meet multiple deadlines

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality

  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement

  • Must be able to implement process improvement changes

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Must be able to pay close attention to details

  • Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment
