Security Shift Supervisor Arizona Charlie’s Decatur (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Implement approved procedures, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate Security Officers. Supervise and coordinate the activities of Security Officers. Assist the Shift Manager as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Review all documentation generated by shift to include, but not limited to Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports

  • Perform, as necessary, all duties required of Security Officers and Assistant Shift Supervisor

  • Provide overall protection of company assets.

  • Interact with guests and employees in a professional manner

  • Interact with local law enforcement and ambulatory/paramedical agencies as required

  • Train new officers on department procedures and complete training checklist

  • Verify completed Security incident reports

  • Perform the duties of Security Shift Manager, when needed

  • Complete or assist in the completion of Las Vegas Metro and Nevada Gaming Control Board forms

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum two years casino security, law enforcement, military and/or casino surveillance experience preferred

  • Supervisory experience and experience in casino security is preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Able to effectively write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

  • Ability to use commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications essential

  • Use/learn laptop computer to do lock interrogations of room locks

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • College degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Walk, stand, sit or stoop (100% of time)

  • Jog or run on occasional basis

  • Occasionally drive motor vehicles

  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
