About the Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Position

A stable and growing law firm centrally located just West of the 15 in Las Vegas is looking for a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join its busy and client-centric team. We are looking for someone to work and grow with the firm. The candidate will be responsible for helping manage personal injury cases throughout the litigation process. The candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be client focused.

The Litigation Paralegal will provide support to two attorneys and his/her responsibilities will include document drafting, research, efiling, calendaring, client communication and other duties assigned. During the process, you will be required to collaborate with a team on each case.

You must have at least two years litigation experience, exceptional communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities

  • Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and discovery requests and responses, as well as drafting motions, oppositions and replies; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.

  • Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.

  • Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.

  • Manage cases from start to finish.

  • Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc)

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal

  • Must be experienced with Odyssey, the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Must be able to prepare NRCP 16.1 disclosures and exhibits

  • Must be proficient with Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro

  • Approach problem solving proactively and have the ability to both work independently and collaborate with peers

  • Motivated, reliable, and able to work within a professional firm environment

  • Exceptional research and strong legal writing abilities

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Capability to follow detailed instructions

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment, have exceptional interpersonal communication skills and excellent communication with clients

Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Skills Preferred but not required

  • Ability to speak Spanish

  • Experience with Filevine
