Job Overview

Maintenance Mechanic, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, is responsible for performing routine building maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks. The role is responsible for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural and property maintenance at the IGT Buildings in the Las Vegas, Nevada metro area. Performs and reports qualitative and quantitative analyses of building performance to the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

  • General building maintenance tasks

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on UPS and emergency generators.

  • Repair, monitor and maintain facilities equipment including tools, power tools, ladders.

  • Track and maintain work performance in facilities work request database.

  • Perform basic repairs around the facility including work requests from building tenants and employees.

  • Coordinate contractors for larger projects (selection, quoting, implementation.)

  • Perform exterior property review of landscaping and irrigation, visual checks of exterior lighting, and visual safety checks of all walkways on the property.

  • Maintain a sealed and secured building envelope.

  • Perform routine inspections on plumbing fixtures including fire risers and fire, life, and safety systems devices. Report inefficiencies to facilities team and management.

  • Complete preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on HVAC systems, building management systems, vents, air flow and air quality.

  • Assist with setup and maintenance on manufacturing conveyor systems.

  • Repair broken power and data outlets, replace light bulbs in fixtures.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance or relevant work/industry.

  • Basic knowledge of power cycle and air handling systems.

  • Understanding of low voltage electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems

  • General diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to comprehend and utilize as built drawings blueprints and engineered drawings.

  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment and practical uses.

  • Customer first approach with good communication skills

  • Must have high school diploma.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Required to climb ladders, work from heights.

  • Lifting to 50 pounds.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $33,600 - $64,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
