Maintenance Engineer Arizona Charlie’s Decatur (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: The engineer troubleshoots, installs and removes equipment. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, environmental, spaces, buildings and grounds. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and repairs heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment

  • Maintain and repairs refrigerator, broiler, electronic, plumbing, HVAC and kitchen equipment

  • Maintains and uses emergency generators and associated equipment

  • Lays-out and builds metal studs, hangs steel doors and steel frames and re-aligns and repairs damaged doors, frames and hardware

  • Installs insulation and hangs dry wall

  • Installs and repairs grid ceilings

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience

  • HVAC experience with EPA certification is preferred

  • At least 21

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of proper size of breakers, electric codes, polarity of all circuits, use of an amp probe, meter readings, change out of light ballast, resetting of main breakers and color coding of wire

  • Ability to wire 3-phase motors and change direction of motors

  • Ability to read panel legs and knowledge of wire and conduit sizes

  • Working knowledge of emergency generators, emergency lights and care, electrolysis, removing and installing breakers, ability to calculate amps, and how lockout/tag-out works

  • Ability to communicate orally and written in the English language

  • Ability to use and communicate via 2-way radio

  • Ability to forklifts, scissor lifts and pallet jacks

  • Walk, stand, sit, climb or stoop more than 75% of time

  • Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity more than 75% of the time

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing and continuously standing about 50% of time

  • Drive and work outdoors less than 25% of the time

  • Use of chemical agents and protective clothing less than 25% of the time

  • Ability to work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail

  • Vision, hearing, speaking and literacy (critical)

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

  • Working in a noisy, smoky, dusty environment that may be hot, cold or humid
