IT Systems Administrator Golden Entertainment Corporate (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary:Provides support in an enterprise environment using Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager, SolarWinds and similar enterprise monitoring tools. Responsible for building images, task sequences, packages and collections for computer imaging, application deployment, patching, alert monitoring, alert creation, and alert editing. Performs all functions in accordance with IT processes, procedures, and department objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, update, support, deploy, and maintain Microsoft SCCM, SolarWinds and similar environments.

  • Create and manage Windows deployments to include zero touch and light touch deployment infrastructure of physical and virtual servers and workstations.

  • Oversee packaging of desktop applications for testing and deployment as advertised programs.

  • Creation, testing, and deployment of packages and scripts.

  • Create and troubleshoot software deployment and update packages, including 3rd party and Microsoft updates/patches.

  • Perform system review including performance, capacity planning, and preventative maintenance on a daily basis.

  • Create SCCM Management Reports; provide status and metrics as related to the SCCM environment.

  • Develop, update, support, deploy and maintain a SolarWinds environment. Monitor, create, and edit alerts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience performing same or similar duties within the I.T. function

  • Previous experience with server hardware/software installation, maintenance, repair, of SCCM, SolarWinds and similar systems.

  • Previous experience with system administration, SCCM, and SolarWinds.

  • Common skills to include user administration, security administration, and service administration.

  • Previous experience with MS Windows Server 2008/2008 R2, MS System Center Configuration Manager 2012, SolarWinds, and MS Active Directory.

  • Willing and able to work all shifts as assigned, including weekends and holidays.

  • Experience utilizing strong support skills to resolve I.T.-related issues.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities.

  • Previous experience independently prioritizing and planning work.

  • Strong decision making skills and sound judgment required.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Degree in Information Technology field or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

  • Minimum 21 years of age.

  • Sit at desk or table (more than 50% of the time)
