Description

Job purpose: Technician will be responsible for all diagnostic and problem solving of plumbing systems for customers safely and effectively while ensuring good customer relations.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Technician will be required to assess all work, and submit profitable bids with Department Manager.

  • Technician will inform our customers of all programs our company offers. (TGM)

  • Repair all copper, drain, waste and vent systems

  • Repair, remove, replace and diagnose all commercial faucets and fixtures

  • Repair grease traps and any ancillary equipment

  • Responsible for the cleanliness, daily inspection, fluid level checks and overall daily maintenance of service vehicle and sewer cleaning equipment

  • Secure all power tools and vehicle inventory

  • Must be available to work on an "on call basis" 24 hours a day 7 days a week (rotating)

  • Report daily to Department Manager and turn in daily route sheets for billing

  • Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner

  • Follow department and company procedures

  • Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company

  • Other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements

Qualifications (KSA, professional certifications, education, experience, travel requirements):

  • Must have one year on the job training in drain cleaning techniques

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (start time/shift) including nights and weekends

  • Be able to operate and maintain cable machines in a safe manner

  • Speak effectively, write clearly and follow directions

  • Must be able to climb, crawl, navigate under, over roofs and confined spaces

  • Local travel up to 90%

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Constantly (over 2/3):

  • remains in a seated position while using arms, legs and observation to operate vehicle

  • maneuvers around (walks, climbs, stoops, kneels, crouches) kitchen equipment, roof tops and various limited and confined spaces

  • operates, observes and monitors equipment

Frequently (1/3-2/3):

  • communicates verbally and in writing with co-workers, customers and supervisors

  • moves, lifts, pushes and pulls equipment and material up to 50 lbs

  • operates electronic devices such as GPS equipment and phone/radio/tablet

Occasionally (under 1/3):

  • exposed to outdoor weather conditions

  • exposed to materials that occasionally require use of PPE such as gloves

  • moves across wet/slippery and uneven surfaces

  • electronically and manually completes logs/reports
