Cafe Food Server The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Places food and beverage orders, delivers food to tables and ensures guests enjoy their visit to Cafe. Responsible for attending to guests needs making them feel welcome, comfortable, and important.

Essential Functions:

  • Takes accurate food and beverage orders from guests and places orders with kitchen staff

  • Maintains knowledge of all restaurant menu options to answer guests’ questions and places proper orders

  • Delivers food to guests, ensuring that the proper order was received and that beverages are refilled

  • Communicates regularly with on-coming shift staff and with the chef-on-duty to address issues and concerns

  • Attends to guests needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable and important.

  • Ensures that all food is served within health, safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Six months previous experience working in a full-service restaurant as a server within the past 3 years preferred

  • Must have an upbeat, outgoing, and courteous personality

  • Previous experience multi-tasking and remaining calm and professional while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Must possess computer skills

  • Previous experience working with InfoGenesis preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written

  • At least 21 years of age

  • Walking, standing or stooping (more than 75% of the time)

  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
