Job Summary:

The User Support Technician responds to immediate user support needs in regard to hardware and software installation and trouble-shooting, basic operating system and applications training, and network systems administration. The User Support Technician must have good verbal and written communication skills to interact directly with users and vendors, and to maintain logs, inventories and other records to insure the smooth functioning of the organization on a day-to-day basis.

Core Competencies:

  •  Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all departments and staff

  •  Advanced understanding of IBM computers, DOS, Windows, MS Word, MS Access, and MS   Excel. (Knowledge of Unix/Linux desirable)

  •  Strong oral and written communication skills

  •  Ability to be well-organized

  •  Ability to use analytical skills effectively

  •  Bilingual / Spanish desirable

    Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science of Related Field and one year related experience.

  • Must have advanced understanding of IBM computers. DOS, Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. Unix/Linux knowledge a plus.
