Description

Applied Technical Services Inc. Since 1967 ATS has established an excellent reputation in the aerospace, automotive, chemical, general manufacturing, pulp and paper, marine, transportation, construction and utility industries.

Job Title: Calibration Technician

Summary:

The purpose of the Calibration Technician position is to calibrate, inspect, test, maintain, and repair instruments and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and precision of measurements taken while using the equipment. This includes monitoring and maintaining calibration equipment to meet industry standards and documenting inspection results and adjusting or repairing equipment as needed. Responsibilities:

· Perform calibrations at the client site using documented calibration procedures in the lab or in the production environment

· Troubleshoot and repair equipment as need

· Assist in technical discussions with the client as a calibration subject matter expert

· Other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Skills:

Education:

· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of recent calibration experience in a commercial or military environment

· Previous experience a fast-paced customer facing role is a plus

Skills:

· Attention to detail

· Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical computations

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner on a consistent and daily basis

Additional requirements:

· Position will require walking at least 25% of the time and sitting 75% of the time in a laboratory and commercial environment
