ASM Global Suite Attendant in Laredo, Texas

POSITION: Suite Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Premium Services Manager

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Suite Attendant for ASM Global/Sames Auto Arena. Responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness of suites and assisting guests in accordance with ASM Global's Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting and overall ambiance in the suite

  • Verify and set-up all pre-game/event orders

  • Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself

  • Take and place game day food and beverage orders

  • Set-up and check on game day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the event

  • Replenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed

  • Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event

  • Obtain signatures from the host on charges in a timely manner

  • Clear all items from the suite and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite

  • Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions and check out with supervisor or manager

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of one year experience in foodservice position required

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Must be at least 19 years of age and able to pass a credit check

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards

  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training

  • Knowledgeable in the operating food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation and safety issues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare event plans

  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead

  • Highly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment

Other Qualifications

  • Must have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty

  • Must follow all ASM Global and SAVOR policies and procedures

  • Must be present for all major events at the Arena

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

  • Frequent walking, for entire length of shift.

  • Constant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motions

  • Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds

  • May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on season.
