POSITION: Part-Time Fire Marshal

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

ASM Global, the leader is privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Part-Time Arena Fire Marshal team member at the Sames Auto Arena. The Part-Time Arena Fire Marshal team member is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and parking lots, making sure that all doors are in working order, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and contract labor while on premises; maintaining clear access in all locations accessible to employees and guests at all conventions or events by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

∙ Walks thru entire inside and outside building as soon as possible before events begin. ∙ Makes sure all doors are functioning correctly and are free and clear of obstructions at all times. ∙ Makes sure Fire Alarm system, Fire Sprinkler system, automatic fire extinguishing vent hood system and Fire Extinguishers all have a current acceptable tag. ∙ Walks thru entire interior and exterior of building at least once every hour. ∙ Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees. ∙ Assists EMS, staff and management with any situation at all times. ∙ Works independently, judges and assesses situations for immediate response.

∙ This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

∙ High School diploma or G.E.D.

Skills and Abilities

∙ Ability to work with minimal supervision ∙ Strong customer service skills ∙ Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management ∙ Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

∙ This position requires appropriate credentials as mandated by State, County or Local Laws. ∙ Required to obtain Texas Fire Fighters Certification and Fire Inspector Certification ∙ Valid driver’s license ∙ Requires to pass background check
