Position Summary:

Appraises and provides direction to personnel. Plans and schedules assignments. Conducts meetings and training. Monitors quality standards and policy adherence. Maintains personnel records. Evaluates products, procedures, and equipment. Orders supplies. Assists in budget development and adherence. Maintains confidentiality. Interviews and hires perspective candidates, counsels and gives corrective action. Promotes patient satisfaction. Works as an Aide or Attendant in an assigned area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Works as Aide or Attendant as needed

  2. Prepares and posts assignment schedules

  3. Oversees completion of work assignments

  4. Staff adjusts and reassigns staff as needed

  5. Conducts employee performance evaluations, counsels and initiates corrective action to redirect staff members toward meeting standards

  6. EnforcesMedicalCenterand department policies

  7. Compiles and tabulates data as required for time cards, reports and the budgeting process

  8. Conducts daily rounds to insure quality assurance program is enforced

  9. Assists with departmental projects as assigned

  10. Assists in training new staff

  11. Performs other department related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in healthcare Housekeeping function

  • Minimum 70%25%20proficiency mathematical skills

Preferred:

  • Previous supervisory experience and/or completion of management classes
