McLaren Health Care Human Resources Consultant - McLaren Careers in Lansing, Michigan

Functions as an integral part of a service team utilizing advanced customer service skills. Provides support to the Human Resources function including specialist advice and guidance on employee relations, employment policies and compensation and benefits practices.

Participates in the development of new/revised benefit and Human Resources policies.

Provides consultative direction on best HR practices in specific situations. Contributes ideas and assists in the development of the department’s strategic plan.

Organizes and completes special projects

  • The HR Consultant originates and leads human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

  • Serves as the primary contact person for managers and employees concerning human resources policies, procedures, and practices.Assists others in the interpretation and application of human resources policies, procedures, practices and labor contracts.

  • Conducts investigations to recommend appropriate action to managers in areas of harassment and other alleged misconduct.

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and communication of human resources policies and procedures.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with one (1) to three (3) years of directly related human resource experience.

Preferred:

  • Human resource experience in healthcare

  • SPHR or PHR certification
