Michigan Regional - Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and maintenance support to Minster's customers with their metal forming equipment

  • Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customer's plants

  • Audit customers' metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found

  • Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner

  • Promote service offerings - training, parts, equipment upgrades, and service agreements with customers

  • Work flexible hours to support customer service needs

  • Build rapport with customers to enhance customer experience

  • Extensive travel required with ≥ 75% of the travel being in the Michigan region

    Field Service Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of machinery mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and maintenance processes

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication skills are a must to effectively communicate with customer, engineers and technical support personnel

  • Candidates must be Michigan region residents or willing to relocate to the Michigan region

  • Ideal Candidate would be located near Detroit, Lansing or Grand Rapids

    Benefits:

  • Guaranteed 45 hours/week, additional overtime is common

  • Salary range $70k-$85k with opportunities for additional $10k-$40k in compensation

  • Company provided service vehicle, specialty tools, uniform, telephone, and laptop

  • $75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid weekly

  • Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use
