Summary:

The Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our organization into the future with a proven track record of successful and visionary leadership in the non-profit sector. 

 

MACUL is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting educators and administrators in their use of technology for educational purposes. We serve a diverse membership across the state of Michigan and hold the following core values:

  • Access: MACUL will educate, promote and advocate for access to technology and connectivity for all educators and students to support and assist their learning in the classroom and beyond.

Position Responsibilities:

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of MACUL. This individual will provide strategic direction, oversee operations, and ensure the financial health of the organization. They will serve as the "face of MACUL" and play a key role in building relationships with members, partners, and stakeholders. The Executive Director consistently upholds the mission of MACUL.

  • Provide Organizational Leadership:

    • Provide strategic vision and direction for the organization.
    • Oversee and evaluate staff, including project directors, office personnel, and contract employees.
    • Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan.
    • Manage and oversee regular communications to members and stakeholders.
    • Represent MACUL at various events, meetings, and conferences.
    • Understand, interpret, and uphold MACUL's policies and procedures.
```{=html} ``` - Provide Business and Financial Management: - - Oversee, develop and manage the annual operating budget in collaboration with the Board and staff. - Oversee and review financial statements and audits. - Secure and maintain relationships with key business partners. - Provide financial updates to the Board in conjunction with the finance manager. - Work annually with the Executive Board to establish funding targets and develop strategies for achieving them through revenue generation.  

  • Support Board Relationships:

    • Communicate regularly with the Board of Directors.
    • Develop and manage agendas for Board and Executive Board meetings.
    • Support Board committees and provide expertise.
    • Coordinate new Board member orientation.
