Trane Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Services Project Developer in the Great Lakes Region. As a Digital Services Project Developer, you will be supporting one of the most challenging and fastest growing career fields, Trane Technologies Digital Services. This role includes working with internal teams and customers to identify and develop projects around optimization, sustainability and energy savings solutions, including scope of work development, cost estimating, working with Energy Engineers to quantify energy savings, proposal support and working with Service teams to validate outcomes of the projects as part of an industry leading Energy Services Company (ESCO). The Digital Services Project Developer is responsible for Acquisition Support of both Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) and Sustainability project work. This position requires mastery of acquisition, technical aptitude, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) solutions using a combination of Trane equipment and controls and other leading HVAC equipment and systems that include project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, and system validation.

  2. Supports Account Managers in developing and establishing project estimates and proposals.

  3. Develop scope statements, detailed plans and programming for technicians and sub-contractors, project tracking and management, and documentation validating energy or sustainability impact of projects.

  4. Provide key technical support in pursuit of Trane business, including participation on job acquisition teams.

  5. Analyze building data using analytics to diagnose energy opportunities within customer’s facilities

  6. Travel required 2 to 3 days a week within the region.

Qualifications:

  1. Extensive knowledge of the operation of Energy Management Systems, Building Automation (BAS) systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls required.

  2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental or Technology discipline preferred or equivalent job experience.

  3. Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred.

  4. Working knowledge of cost and savings studies incorporating energy conversation measures (ECM).

  5. Ability to audit existing mechanical and building systems and recommend solutions to improve.

  6. Experience collecting data, analyzing, and presenting data in a clear and accurate manner.

  7. Experience in effectively understanding and manipulation of technical information and responding to questions from fellow engineers.

  8. Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and office equipment required.

  9. Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

• DUI in the previous 5 years

• Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years

Base Pay Range: $103,100 - $130,500 / year. Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
