About the Role

As an Power Module Testing Engineer, you work with a dedicated team to test and validate power modules for powertrains. You test power modules rigorously to ensure their reliability.

You accompany our projects from the initial prototypes to the start of series production. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and fulfill the requirements of our customers.

Your Responsibilities

After a suitable training period, you will take on the following tasks:

  • Power module testing for inverters for powertrains (voltages < 1000V, currents up to 800A)

  • Creating test plans and test specifications

  • Planning and setting up test benches for component verification

  • Automating test procedures on test benches and in the electronics laboratory

  • Conducting, analyzing, and documenting measurements

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a team player who is diligent , pays attention to detail , and has the ability to persevere in their work . The key to long-term job satisfaction in this position is having a strong willingness to continuously learn and stay updated in the field of automotive engineering.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Degree from a technical college (HTL) in the fields of electrical engineering or mechatronics and at least 5 years of working experience

  • or a technical education (Bachelor / Master) in the field of electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or technical physics

  • Functional understanding of semiconductor devices

  • Basic programming skills

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and German

Remuneration

It is important to us to offer a fair and attractive remuneration package. The gross yearly salary (for 38,5h/week) according to the collective agreement for the automotive industry is at least € 50.400,- for this position. Overpayment based on relevant experience and qualifications is common practice.

This position can be filled at the Magna Powertrain locations in St. Valentin, Lannach, Traiskirchen, or Untergruppenbach.
